Workforce and sector development

After full rollout it is estimated that the provision of services to people with disability will cost about $22 billion a year, creating thousands of new jobs across the country.

It will generate significant opportunities for the existing service sector and for new entrants, as well as mainstream businesses that make their services accessible and inclusive.

People with disability and their individual choices are at the centre of the NDIS. This means providers may need to modify their service offering or marketing to appeal to participants and attract business.
