Local Area Coordinators announced

Monday – 5 February 2018

Baptcare and Mission Australia join Feros Care, which is the Local Area Coordinator for Barossa, Light and Lower North and Northern Adelaide.

In a welcome announcement last week, Baptcare Limited and Mission Australia will be delivering LAC services in regions throughout South Australia.

From March, Baptcare will deliver services in the following regions:

  • Eastern Adelaide
  • Western Adelaide
  • Yorke and Mid North.

Mission Australia will deliver services in the following regions:

  • Limestone Coast
  • Murray and Mallee
  • Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island
  • Adelaide Hills
  • Eyre and Western
  • Far West
  • Southern Adelaide.

This is an important step forward in the delivery of the NDIS in South Australia and will greatly assist participants, their families and carers to access the NDIS and exercise choice and control in the delivery of their supports in their local communities.

Mission Australia has a long history of supporting people in South Australia, and both organisations can draw on the experience of delivering LAC services across Tasmania.

LAC services are delivered by organisations who work in partnership with the NDIA, to help participants, their families and carers access the NDIS. The LACs will help participants develop and manage their plans and connect participants to mainstream services and local and community-based supports.
