Community information expos come to Kadina and Port Augusta
Tuesday – 17 October 2017
Our community information expo roadshow visited Kadina and Port Augusta in early October to meet with locals about the transition to the NDIS.
We were greeted by nearly 100 people in Kadina and more than 60 people in Port Augusta who were eager to learn more about how the NDIS works.
Attendees heard from a range of speakers about how the NDIS works and job opportunities in the sector. Also attending each event were local disability service providers and registered training organisations, providing information for people with disabilities and their families as well as job seekers in the region.
The NDIS will start rolling out for people aged 18 to 64 in the Yorke and Mid North (Kadina) and Far North (Port Augusta) regions from 1 January 2018.
Thank you to all who attended to find out more about the NDIS in South Australia.
